F-86 Refurb thread

Less popular but still relevant Classic Jets include the Folland Gnat and Fouga CM-170 (Magister) and many, many others.

David,
If you have a minute away from all of your globe trotting...
How is the F-86 coming along?
Any new info or photos?
Sure hope to see the jet flying somewhere this summer at an air show, fly in or Jet Blast.
Any plans in the works?
That is going to be one awesome looking F-86.
Any idea how long it has been since there was an Sabre painted like that?

Was this one of Flight Systems' F-86s? I flew them as drones back in '75/'76. Does it have the Orenda 14 engine? i am looking for one! litning@cox.net

It is a former FS bird. N87FS. It does have the Orenda 14 in it. Wish I had a good lead for you on one.

Dave,

The Sabre looks great. Are you still planning to start on the T-33 also?

I worked that A/C for quite some time. Used to take them around the country for Dart Tow.
