Gadsden Fly-In Review
Oct 8, 2012 - By the numbers, this was one of the larger fly-ins - 15 L-39s and assorted others, 35 pilots, 11,000 gallons of Jet-A, three very busy Examiners performing 61.58 proficiency rides, two new L-39 ratings and another handful of FAST signoffs.
The folks at International Jet opened their facility to CJAA and others and welcomed us with ejection seat training, safety and accident history briefings, Mike Mangold offered a Reno review (with cockpit videos), and nFlightcam was on hand to demonstrate video technology and operation. Quite an exclamation point on a flying season that started in DeKalb in May, wound it's way through St. George, Wendover, Reno and now concludes in Gadsden.
