FAR 61.58 Impact Survey

Jan 17, 2012 - FAR 61.58, which becomes effective Oct 31 of this year, contains new requirements for Experimental-Exhibition Jet (EEJ) pilots. In order to carry any persons, pilots of multi-seat turbo-jet powered aircraft must have completed an annual proficiency check with a Designated Examiner within the prior 12 months. If an annual proficiency check has not been completed in the past 12 months, pilots can only continue to fly their aircraft solo or carry qualified persons for training, flight checks or certification.

CJAA requests your assistance determining the impact of FAR 61.58’s EEJ annual proficiency requirement on our membership. The FAR offers several means of compliance. How do you intend to comply with the 61.58 EEJ annual proficiency requirement?
